Pete Walker is heading home.
After three state championships in the last seven seasons at Glades Day, Pete Walker is returning to his alma mater. Glades Day co-athletic director Joe Guethle confirmed to The Post on Sunday that Walker, 47, will become the football coach and athletic director at Clewiston. He will replace Joe Roth.

Walker, who did not immediately return calls, leaves Glades Day less than three months after record-breaking running back Kelvin Taylor enrolled early at Florida.
After leading Glades Day to an 8-3 record and a second-round playoff exit last season, Walker interviewed for the Seminole Ridge head coaching spot that was filled in January by Steven Humphrey.
Guethle said his school “expected” Walker to leave and was in regular communication with him about his future. Guethle expected to announce a new coach “in a week or so.”
Walker was a quarterback on the 1982 Clewiston squad that tied for the Class 2A state championship. He was an assistant on Glades Day’s 1995 state title team and later spent three years as the Gators’ head coach. He coached Clewiston in 2002 before his two years at King’s Academy and one year at Tallahassee-North Florida Christian.
In 14 seasons as a head coach — 10 at Glades Day — Walker has never missed the playoffs. Roth led the Tigers to a 4-7 record last year and was 33-34 in six seasons.
